With double digit candidates and now down to three, I keep hearing and reading that the majority of republicans will not support his candidacy. And he keeps winning, this last go around 4 out of 5 states. His crowds are rock concert in size. The left fears him so much that they are organizing a national anti Trump protest movement. We have a few republicans on this board so i think a poll is warranted. A simple yes or no. |

I think I made it clear where I stand. That leaves me to address why Trump is so popular, why he is winning when he is no where near the best choice as President. This is only my opinion and I'm not perfect. Seems there is alot of hate and way too often that hate is misplaced. People want to blame all Mexicans, or Muslims, or blacks, or whites, There is a huge spike in hatred and blame placed on the GLBT community. Narrow minded people say we have to protect marrage, or our children defining things like an intimate relationship having to be between a male and a female, then defining a male or female having to be determined at birth by what a newborn child has between their legs. Right or wrong is a matter of opinion and not everyone will ever agree on it. But now more than anytime I can remember, the concept of live and let live is well, just not tolorated. It's really at it's core an attack on freedom. Restricting people to live as you would have them live. Trump more so than any other has tapped into that. He also has tapped into alot of support that would otherwise go to Ron Paul if he was running, Jesse Ventura if he was running as a party member. I would like to think Trump isn't all that bad and just saying anything to get elected, to win. Because if he puts what he say's into action, it will be as I have said many times before, like Hitler on steroids. The US will be the furthest thing from a free nation. We will be living in an environment similar to N Korea. There's also the picking a winner factor to consider. The reason we don't have a Ron Paul, or Gary Johnson in the white house is because people don't vote for who they think is the best choice. So many times I hear people say they won't vote for someone only because they don't stand a chance to win. How silly is that? If they all voted for who they want, wouldn't that person have to win? Just doesn't make sense. Also, I too often see people vote for someone the don't like just to take a vote away from someone they dislike even more. How many I wonder will be voting for Hillary to try and keep Trump out, or will vote for Trump to keep Hillary out? People say Trump is so much different than the typical globalist canidates, or past presidents. I don't think so, I think it's a show, an act. My read on him is that he is not all that much different than a Bush, or a Clinton, or even Obama. It looks like he could be the next president, If that's the case, I hope I'm wrong about him. But he will not get my vote, I have to live with myself. I'm very proud of my vote for Gary Johnson in 2012, and will carry that pride with me until the day I die. My vote in 2016 should be similar and although I'm still undecided, I feel as though I'll have to write someone in who is not gonna be on the ballot |

I left the republican party years ago and was an active Libertarian. IT GOT ME NOWHERE. Ron and the others should have run as republicans, the tent is wide open and runs from the liberal to the far right. Trump has centered on issues the majority, if they would admit so, know are right. The country is in the crapper. |

The country is in the crapper. Ron Paul did run as a republican. He never got the nomination. The news agencies ignored him, people said he could never win. With Trump the news agencies is all over him, if they really wanted him to lose they would ignore him like they did with Paul. Bad publicity is better than no publicity. Looks like it might also be better than good publicity. What does that say about us? |
