I have been around a long while and I have never seen the kind of schtick pulled by the GOP in the last 5 years. It is simply shameless, and mindless obstructionism. I cannot see a way they can get their asses out of this hole they have so carefully dug. In fact they seem to keep digging, But I will also say I never, ever expected an asshole like Trump to get any kind of political traction. Thawt says something, about someone, or everyone. |

Obama seems to have made a great choice. A moderate who is widely respected and has had extensive GOP support. 1. The Senate refuses a hearing, they look like assholes. 2. They reject him, they look like assholes Next nominee...............................repeat steps one and two. |

In the last five years, Obama has tried to take the country as far left as he can. If Stoned really has lived long enough to experience the Democrat Party of FDR, Truman and JFK, he would know that Obama's dream in fare leftr of theirs. Obama isn't looking out for the country, his recent ploy is another trap set for his dream. He chose Judge Merrick Garland, a good man with a "moderate" political view but with two major concerns for the right. Garland is pro abortion and is for some form of gun control. Less important, he serves in Chicago and is a graduate of Harvard. Obama selected a moderate judge to corner the GOP but with two major GOP negative "judging" qualities. Obama is not interested in judge per se. He is only interested in "entrapping" the GOP. As far as the GOP led Congress and it's lack of cooperation, Obama has pushed a far left agenda since in office.... starting with the failed Obamacare. The Iran deal was done without congressional input..... as was Cuba and Gitmo. Obama is as close to being a wannabe dictator as you can get. It's little wonder with anyone with common sense that Congress has had little cooperation; especially when dealing with a president that allows such little input. He doesn't act with the best in the country in mind. His goal has been to change the country to his image of what it should be....... his Father's Dreams. |

I think that is the problem Ban, non of them have been around long enough to know what the Democratic party used to stand for. All they know is it gives them free stuff so they like it. |

Pretty much shows the mindset of the right when they continually reject gun control in any form. I suppose this fits with their agenda of controlling the poor and minorities that they believe to be so far below themselves! |

I was too young for FDR and Truman although I am ( I think ) fairly well versed in their policies. Just out of curiosity what are your major bitches against those three presidents? |

Pretty much shows the mindset of the right when they continually reject gun control in any form. Do you know how tired I get of seeing that tired old like over and over. We have gun control now, way too much of it if you ask me. Much of it proposed and passed by those you would call the right. When you have laws on top of laws on top of laws, it confuses the meaning of many if not all of those laws. To hear some people tell it, we are selling guns to children. Fact is that it's not easy for someone to buy a gun. Gun shops have turned people away based on their demeanor. The biggest abusers of gun ownership and carry are by far the cops, and any laws banning guns naturally wouldn't apply to them. If you want to check people out to make sure they are safe to allow to have a gun, or guns, fine, great, then don't charge them for it, don't make them pay for a permit to conceal carry, turning a right into a privlidge. Have the federal government flip the bill, get an independent agency to handle it, tie it in with qualifying to drive, and make it renewable every 10 years. Meaning that it would be a license to drive and own and carry any car or gun. Tags for the car would apply to a person, not the car and could be used on any car so long as it is visable. Your drivers liscense would have an endorsement for gun/s. Just like a motorcycle. |
