I see nothing "moot" about the questions that I asked.

Besides, the old "racist" accusation is an old liberal, scripted accusation that is so left winged. It doesn't really mean much anymore.
OK. The bitches about racism come from the use of our free speech. Racist slurs. They are all over and you (ONE) cannot possibly miss it.

Like I say others have their free speech and I have mine and I will use mine to comment on theirs.

Just what is the congress capable of doing? Assuming it to be functional. This is mostly a question of morals and civil bahavior and so far I see little of either.

If you're accusing me of saying (writing) the "N" word or can show evidence that I'm a racist, I welcome you to show it.

I just apologized and said I used the term "you" in a general sense. I was sure you caught that but since you did not I will say it again. The "you" was an impersonal referral to the world in general. See post 62.M I guess the apology should have been more explicit,

It is a habit I must try to correct. Working on it.

No apology necessary. But, I haven't seen many righties (if any) on this forum, refer to blacks by using the "N" word. In my world, I've heard more blacks refer to other blacks by using the "N" word more often than any white people. And often they prefix it by using the "MF" phrase. It's not that they are being nasty, it's just part of their daily rhetoric.... their culture ..... in the inner city sections of my area.

That being said, I still would have to ask you (and others supporting the left) the same questions I asked in Post #67.

Two things. Racism, in my opinion cannot be legislated out of existence. It is more a matter of simple civil behavior and it is not limited to the unwashed many. Carson was the subject of not a few racial slurs and he is far from being underpriviledged or ignorant.

Second. The Blacks do use the term among themselves just as polish people used to use the term "polacks". I suppose one can use a term in the family that would never be accepted from the outside. My brother calls me an asshole and that is one thing. If someone else does the same it is completely different.

About twice the percentage of black people as whites live in poverty. That leaves the great bulk of them far from basket cases although they are frequently lumped into that section. Using the few to slur the many is somewhat despicable and just another racist slur.

I think that tomorrow, if all black people were made wealthy, respectable and articulate they would still be hated by the same people. I don't think this is a problem that can be saved by "elevating the poor blacks". There is more to it than that.

I don't think this a problem for legislation. It is cultural and perhaps we cannot shame them or otherwise presuade them to change. All I can see is that we can make them uncomfortable by pointing out their behavior and publically disapproving.

Probably will not change their attitude but it just may shut their mouths.

Libs have nothing to do so they yell racism. It's old, boring and a lie.
From the OP of this thread:

Quote:

In a paper titled “The Impact of Anti-Black Racism on Approval of Barack Obama’s Job Performance and on Voting in the 2012 Presidential Election,” a trio of researchers found a substantial increase in the number of voters with anti-black attitudes, which rose from 47.6 percent in 2008 to 50.9 percent in 2012. “The proportion of people expressing anti-Black attitudes,” they write, “was 32 percent among Democrats, 48 percent among independents, and 79 percent among Republicans.”

You can find the paper here. The Impact of Anti-Black Racism on Approval of Barack Obama’s Job Performance and on Voting in the 2012 Presidential Election Josh Pasek

Perhaps you can show us another study that contradicts this one.

Perhaps you can post something other than left wing propaganda.

What behavior are you talking about? The behavior of the President when he flamed racial tensions?

Stoned, what are you and the rest of leftish America (including I suppose, "Academia") really doing, first hand, for people of color to help them elevate themselves, to help them be "equal," to help them experience the "joy" of being contributors that the people you are pointing at aren't doing, first hand?

Of course, I could ask the same question concerning the environment and climate change, the refugees (how many have you volunteered to take in) and everything that the left (and righteous Canadians) continually point to others as not doing?

A excellent question which I notice no one on the left has yet to answer.
