Well, I can't speak for anybody else, but what I've learned from this thread.... reading between the lines of what folks are posting ...... is that Canadians and Canadians politics and left leaning people world over in no way contribute to the climate change that Brew's original post speaks of. Few if any use or benefit from fossil fuel. You won't see any air polluting "exhaust" spewing from any of their homes or from any vehicle they drive. They only use paper containers, never plastic. But the U.S., well there's where your climate change problems exist. And it's all on the right side of the isle. No lefties contribute to the damaging of climate that Brew keeps bringing up. In no way would they ever contribute to such a thing. So, vote for Hillary or Bernie to save the climate. Crooked politics or socialism politics is better than climate change politics. There the government can take care of all needs..... well, all needs here and hopefully in Canada.... not sure about the rest of the world's needs. But, we can speak up for such. That will be my contribution. I will speak up for it. I will speak up for it here and in every town I drive my DSDP through on my way to the sunny south. And maybe next year I will organize a caravan of DPs to travel across the U.S. and down into Mexico testifying to the throngs in every town who come out to see our caravan, of the benefits of engaging in good climate control measures and verbal condemnation of those who are suspected of not doing as much as I am doing or of the contributions of the folks in the caravan. Okay, maybe in my mission I'm driving a diesel pusher, but at least I'm speaking up for those climate control measure and condemning the ones who I don't think are. That's something. If everyone did exactly what I and other climate control enthusiasts are doing, think how much better the climate would be. |

I did not specify American history. I was thinking of European history of the thirties. The actions by certain candidates are a scary reminder. Of course, if you agree with wiping out family members of foreign fighters, I guess you will not understand! |

Update for you Brew. We had showers again this weekend at night. Los Angeles had some rain. This has been a relatively wet late fall and winter in Nevada. The map shows the region I'm referring to. |

For Pat's info: A drought does not occur due to lack of rain, it occurs when there's more water evaporating than what's being added. Extra heat does that. That's what's happening in California. Berton has been told what's going on his tiny corner of the world repeatedly, and he deliberately misunderstands every time. I will not explain it again. Edited by Brewster, Mar 15 2016, 02:05 AM.
