It is a big time business that I enjoy watching. Those who say it's only cars driving in a circle show ignorance about the sport.

OK, looks like I'm getting it, race starting. This will be the first race I watched on TV since 2012. This is the first race of 2016 and I just glad I'm not missing it. Somehow, watching later on youtube is not the same. By then it's just another old race upload.

Daytona 500 yall !

The "Birds" just flew over with a break over the track. I agree with Sea, NASCAR was so much better when someone could juice up an old Hudson or similar and race a race. Now all the cars are clones with restrictor plates choking the engines. It is now a game of money, strategy and a whole lot of luck tossed in. I'll watch it, but not with the enthusiasm as I would a Modified race at a local track.

So it's NOT cars driving around and around an oval track? What then is it?

I know a number of folks that do not enjoy watching the same sports as do I and none of them are "ignorant."

It's a series of commercials interrupted by the occasional collision, a slow parade of cars following a yellow flag. and/or an announcer telling you who's leading after the latest pit stop.

Sorta like the Super Bowl, except the athletes wear cars instead of car sized shoulder pads, and there's no half time show.

Come on guys, a lot of folks enjoy NASCAR, so what's wrong with that? A little intolerance I would say.
