GOP Rep: Paris Attack Should Be A Wake Up Call About Accepting Refugees

New York Republican Rep. Peter King told Fox News Channel’s Megyn Kelly that in light of the terrorist attacks in Paris Friday, it should be a “wake up call” to President Obama and his supporters who want to shut down the Guantanamo Bay detention facility and bring over Syrian refugees to the United States.

Kelly asked King his thoughts about the situation given that one of the suspected terrorists arrested told authorities he was from Syria and was recruited by ISIS, noting that France accepted a number of Syrian refugees as have the United States.

“We don’t know who these people are. There are no records there are no government records we can go to. There are no personnel record we can go to,” King told Kelly. “We don’t know who these people are, and we know that ISIS wants to infiltrate terrorists in to Europe and the United States with these refugees. Also you have foreign fighters. There are thousands of foreign fighters, many of them French who have gone down to Syria to fight along side ISIS—to be trained as terrorists and they are coming back into Europe.”

Fellow homeland security committee member South Carolina Republican Jeff Duncan tweeted:

How’s that Syrian refugee resettlement look now? How about that mass migration into Europe? Terrorism is alive & well in the world. #No

At least 158 victims resulting from at least six different terrorist attacks have been killed in the Paris terrorist attacks and the death toll is likely to rise.

Three gunmen took over the Bataclan concert hall where a rock concert was taking place and, according to reports, took 100 attendees hostages and threw grenades at their victims’ faces.

The terrorists also fired multiple rounds at their victims while they helplessly laid on the floor and the gunmen yelled “Allahu Akbar.” Additionally, they were also heard to have said, “This is for Syria.”

Victims’ tweets from inside the theater, according to CNN, begged police to raid the theater, because “they are killing us one by one.”

Terrorists struck in other areas of the city including a local restaurant and near a soccer stadium where a game between France and Germany was being played. Five of the attackers were killed and France was placed under a state of emergency.

I can't imagine anyone being that naive, especially after what just happened in France.
