One thing, if Trump happens to become President,
Within four years, the country will be broke and no one will
need oil from any source!

Don't look now but we're $18.560 trillion in debt. Predicted $20 trillion by the time Trump becomes president (if he becomes president). I'd say our government is pretty much "broke" already. Anyway the next president has the privilege of "doubling" the national debt as did Obama. Obama picked up GW's financial baggage, doubled it and now the next president will pick of Obama's financial baggage and the main stream media will allow it to be doubled again if it's Hillary and condemn it if it's Trump (or other). That's the way our politics work down here.
If Trump is elected,
what is to prevent him from
taking your country into chapter 11
as he did so successfully several times with his own businesses?

Not paying ones debts is a certain path to success!

At a debt of $18 trillion, it's ready for Chapter 11 now.

This is an American issue, Sea. Mind your own business and meddle where it can do some good.
Jim,

We are not you students. You don't get to tell us how to behave.

Plus you are wrong on so many levels.

The only reason that Jim is against the pipeline,
he believes that building it might aid Canada.

Cannot have that!

The oil is and will continue to get to the Gulf. The only difference is in the transport mode. That seems to make your personal attack on Jim way off base.

Berton, Sea likes the intelligence and education to sort out the differences here. The pipeline in OUR country is OUR business and not the business of foreigners. Start a thread about how it affects you, Sea and stay out of OUR end of it. What OUR failed President did is OUR shame, not yours.

If you believe that rail and truck transport
is safer than a brand new pipeline, who am I to argue?

It is a wonder that you Luddites do not want the oil
transported by mule train!

I believe, Jim, that the word you are looking for is lacks, not likes.

No problem, at your age, the occasional slip
can be expected!

Just the opposite Sea Dog. As usual you are unable to keep things straight in you mind or in your posts.

Jim and the people you call Luddites want the pipeline because it is safer and more carbon friendly. Just the opposite of what you alarmist want.

So just who is the Luddite? It looks like you are the one.

Sea is and always was, Berton. He was right about one thing, though. Those "slips" come more often as I get older.
