I suppose some here will try to convince us that Colorado isn't encouraging their potheads to drive under the influence. I rue the day that Pennsylvania sinks to the legalized pot level. I know it will come but I hope I don't live long enough to see such degradation as Colorado and other states that have legalized pot.

Pick Up Pot, Fill The Tank At ‘Gas And Grass’

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A one-of-a kind marijuana dispensary opened its doors in Colorado Springs on Saturday.

The Gas and Grass is combining a marijuana dispensary and a gas station.

The store owner, Andreas Nilsson, explained the innovative concept.

“We have combined the two for the purpose of adding another level of convenience for our patients to be able to do their shopping of gas at the same spot where they would otherwise get their medical marijuana,” he said.

Medical marijuana patients who shop at Gas and Grass will receive 15 cents off every gallon of gas. Anyone can fill up at the station.

You, as a free, beautiful, independent human being with inalienable rights, own yourself. As a result, you can do what you want with your own body and own the product of your labor. The implication is that it is morally wrong to INITIATE force against someone else OR their property, because to do so is to violate their rights. Therefor, all human interactions should be free of force, fraud, and coercion and people should be free to exercise their rights, limited only by respect for the rights of others. When you learned "don't hit" and "don't steal," it wasn't "unless you work for the government." When you learned thou shalt not kill, it wasn't "unless your dear leader gives you a gun and a uniform and a one way ticket to the other side of the world." Government is force, an opinion with a gun, and force is a poor substitute for persuasion. Governments frighten us into thinking we need them, but with knowledge, philosophy, and technology, we are empowering ourselves and each other to have the courage to move past the paradigm of statism and restrain government to only moral uses of force, at least until we replace it with the cooperative, free market solutions, that will soon render it obsolete.

It's just an example of our continued moral and permissive decay, not only in the U.S., but most of the free world. All of it will increase injury and death on U.S. highways... alcohol, pot, cell phone use. We have progressed over the last 55 years into a more liberal, more permissive society (except where "political correctness" is an issue) of what use to be considered "unacceptable behavior," which hasn't been exactly character building policies for our youth. But, it is what it is. It's likely to continue on in that direction.

"So food and water is bad, and smoking is good. How would smoking pot be any worse?"

It more alters your perception. (thinking of the title of this thread which implies driving from the gas station).

Addendum: And I also would say that your statement above is more of an example of more "permissiveness" activity of formerly more "unacceptable" practices.

Idiot conservatives are all about freedom unless they don't want a particular freedom themselves.

toot toot He's back! :toasting: toot toot

He's his old self again. How do I know, you ask? Well the first word in his first post after his long absence is "Idiot." The first two words in his first post after coming back is "Idiot conservatives" :bounce: Yes, it's good to have you back old pal.

And I draw a red line on writing any more negatives about Obama and no negatives about pot. You can count on my word being just as good as Obama's.

Welcome back.
