Media Yawn At Calif. College Stabbing Spree By Freshman Mohammad Something terrible happened on a U.S. college campus that's escaped national media coverage, likely because it wasn't a mass shooting and the suspect wasn't a disturbed white kid, but Faisal Mohammad. The weapon was a hunting knife, so it didn't help advance the mainstream media's anti-gun agenda. But news of the attack, completely blacked out by major media, was no less terrifying than recent campus shootings. Police in Merced, Calif., say Mohammad, a freshman who majored in computer science and engineering, stabbed four people on the University of California at Merced campus Wednesday before he was shot and killed by campus police. Two of the injured were airlifted to hospitals, while the other two were treated on the campus near Sacramento. The assault started when the assailant used the knife to stab two people — a student and then a university contractor — in a second-floor room at the start of an 8 a.m. class. Mohammad fled the room after attacking the construction worker and ran down two flights of stairs to the outside where he stabbed a female school employee sitting on a bench and another student. University officials and investigators ruled out "any possible political or religious motivation" and were quick to say it wasn't terrorism. Yet Mohammad slashed at the neck of his first victim as if to behead her. A Twitter account linked to the Islamic State terrorist group later praised the attack. "May Allah accept him," read the tweet in Arabic just minutes after Mohammad's name was released by authorities. In September 2014, IS called on sympathizers and agents living in the U.S. to use any weapons available — including knives — to kill Americans. In January, IS again urged supporters in America to conduct individual jihadist attacks using all means available. Over the past several weeks, moreover, Hamas specifically called for knife attacks on Jews in Gaza and inside Israel. The Palestinian terror group even made and distributed videos and lesson plans on how and where to stab them. Investigators say Mohammad — who left a note praising Allah — "had far greater intentions to do damage." They say he was carrying flammable petroleum jelly, ziptie handcuffs, night-vision goggles, duct tape and a hammer in his backpack. Still, we're told all this had zero to do with terrorism. Nothing to see here, folks, move along. And media have willingly complied. FBI Director James Comey just gave a speech revealing active investigations into suspected IS operatives now number more than 900 across all 50 states. The media have not reported that statistic, but it's alarming. It means there are almost 1,000 potential terrorism plots brewing inside America right now. Comey said his agents are having a hard enough time keeping up. By throwing sand in the public's eye, political correctness is only making it harder to get a handle on the threat. http://news.investors.com/ibd-editorials/110615-779685-media-yawn-at-college-stabbing-spree-by-mohammad.htm The MSM at it again, making sure we don't hear of news which is not according to the left wing agenda or mantra. |
