See what I mean? He only goes back 100 years. Like that was the start of the world. I guess that is what the new religion tells him.

God, you're stupid.

The 100 years I spoke of is the age of Climate Science, not climate.

Actually, it is more like 120 years, as Svante Arrhenius published his seminal paper calculating the relationship between the Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming in 1896.

So Bertie and his buddie want to claim Warming is a scam - Wow! Imagine! 120 years, thousands of scientists, over 150 countries, dozens of political systems, and NOT ONE SCIENTIST has ever come forward and showed any solid proof of the scam for what it is. The organization behind all this must be truly phenomenal.

Talk about wishes - Oh, how I wish I could have been there when Al Gore took his Time Machine back to 1896 and bribed Svante Arrhenius into coming up with that phony formula, then set up the shadow organization to scam the entire world into - well, I don't know exactly what, but it must be totally evil - a truly epic moment in Human History...

Pat,
There is nothing we can do short term, that will change the current course of climate change, still worth trying long-term.

People will get some sharp lessons, El Nino is just one of them.

:smoker:

What lessons will they get from this El Nino that they didn't get from the ones which proceeded this one?

I disagree, the flooding and so forth will happen but the people won't equate it to anything other than the weather. Global population growth is the main culprit in all of this yet try stopping people from having sex or being responsible on a large scale. have at it. Police the bedroom and backseats of car.

Pat,
If you judge by the posts on this site, you are likely right, people won't change, but this site is dominated by a few short-sighted loud mouths who don't have long to live and little vested interest in the future.

I'm watching the preparations for El Nino here and those who are denigrating the problem are putting themselves and their neighbors at risk for their political beliefs. Fighting or ignoring Mother Nature will weed out many of the people who do it.

The only people who are denigrating the El Nino problem on this board are the straw men you keep posting about.

The denial from a man whose state is already sucking in federal freebies due to floods that should have been planned for. I have to wonder how housing was allowed to be built in flood prone areas?

See what I mean, another strawman. When are you going to start talking about the effects of El Nino?
