I am surprised that the Canadians do not want to talk about this. |

Gee, by Berton's own graph, our unemployment has only gone up a point and a half in a year. At 6.5%, better than where the US, inspired by Bush, has been until very recently under Obama. Not nice of course, but hardly "Going down the tubes". Edited by Brewster, Nov 7 2015, 05:14 AM.

In Alberta, all they have to do now is wait till the oil sands environment restores itself to it's former beautiful state and they can invest in becoming a tourist economy. If Harper and the conservative party hadn't worked a deal with the Sun Oil Co and start commercial production of the oil sands back in 1967 at Ft. McMurray because they wanted to be the first of this kind in the world, then there wouldn't have been any deflated economy from an oil bust they are now experiencing; and from what I've been reading in the various Canadian media, they are experiences a down turn in their economy. Trudeau will straighten things out. Edited by Banandangees, Nov 7 2015, 05:22 AM.
