No it will not. Canada Will just build a pipeline to the Pacific. But they will then have to refine their own dirty oil If they do not do this then it did not matter anyway.

Whatever, I'm focused on America's interests and have opposed this all along.

Good for you Pat!

BTW, the pipeline to the West is already dead.

It's time Canada broadened its industrial base - Harper almost destroyed us.

The president gave a very good explanation as to why this decision was made. I couldn't find a hole in it. Rubio has already come out and said he would reverse it, which tells me he is an idiot.

Trudeau will have to push that pipeline through BC. Now just a good portion of the environment of Alberta is almost in ruin, they will have to tear up BC. A lot of people out that way will be irritated. And, folks in the east (of Canada) sure don't want it coming through there any more than it already is.

Nope, Canada's oil industry is definitely going through trying times.

Pat, I had to stop listening to his "announcement." It was becoming more of his administration's accomplishments in our oil independence, lower gas prices, more efficient cars, etc., all while creating thousands of jobs, lowering unemployment, and advancing the date that we and the world will become clean, renewable energy expedient.... all due to his administration's accomplishments.

It was more of a "look what I did" rather than just a pipeline announcement. But did we expect anything else. I mean, he could have made that announcement about the pipeline several years ago, even before Buffett bought his RR. Harper was waiting for an answer when most everyone knew what it was going to be and why Obama delayed his answer. So, you can add Harper's Canada to the "we got your back" list along with Israel.

What BS our government has become.

Is it any wonder that Trump has received the public support that he has.

Yes Ban, but he was making good points about the progress we have made. Despite the negative posts from some Canadians here, we are leading the world in renewable's and reduction of pollution. Nevada has many projects on line. And we simply don't need the gunk crossing our country, the few jobs have never been worth the environmental risk.

We have "gunk" crossing our country already in pipelines and trucks.

So you need more?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that.

Maybe if you call one of the outfits in North Dakota, they'll fly down a nice heavy batch of oily crap and spray it all over your neighbourhood for you.
