Brewster, the scientists in question work for NOAA. They are paid employees. All of their work is the property of the government. ALL of it. All of their work is therefor the property of the people and the people's representatives (Congress) have the legal right to it.

If you truly believe that is incorrect then prove it.

I know people that have been fired for using work computers for personal e-mails. Perhaps they should be fired, too.
