Sorry Flyway but your personal dislike of the police does not mean that they can criminally shoot the innocent and get away with it. A police officer who commits a criminal act will face more sever punishment that a citizen, and he should, because he holds a position of power.

Stoned,

If the investigations (there are often several) reveals that the officer involved shooting was criminal the officer is arrested and prosecuted. Because the family member or anti police activists believe that it was criminal doesn't make it so.

To answer your question, none.
I can appreciate that you were a cop Ken but keeping track of this stuff has been a hobby for the last year. I have gone from being a huge supporter of the cops to not being able to believe a damn thing they say.

Too much has been proven and I will not be able to trust them for a very long time.

You, as a free, beautiful, independent human being with inalienable rights, own yourself. As a result, you can do what you want with your own body and own the product of your labor. The implication is that it is morally wrong to INITIATE force against someone else OR their property, because to do so is to violate their rights.

Therefor, all human interactions should be free of force, fraud, and coercion and people should be free to exercise their rights, limited only by respect for the rights of others. When you learned "don't hit" and "don't steal," it wasn't "unless you work for the government." When you learned thou shalt not kill, it wasn't "unless your dear leader gives you a gun and a uniform and a one way ticket to the other side of the world." Government is force, an opinion with a gun, and force is a poor substitute for persuasion.

Governments frighten us into thinking we need them, but with knowledge, philosophy, and technology, we are empowering ourselves and each other to have the courage to move past the paradigm of statism and restrain government to only moral uses of force, at least until we replace it with the cooperative, free market solutions, that will soon render it obsolete.

The paper analyzed 800 fatal police shootings and found that in 74% of the cases, police pulled the trigger only after the suspect fired, brandished a gun or attacked someone. In 16% of the shootings, cops fired when the suspect acted in a dangerous and threatening manner, such as refusing to put down a knife.

In 5% of the cases, officers used force when the suspect refused to show his hands and made a sudden move that made them think he was reaching for a weapon. The Post said the justification for force in the remaining 5% of cases was undetermined.

What you are implying is that no one but you can do a truthful study. What reason does the paper have to fudge the numbers? We know what your reasons are.
