I open up the collection of news stories that MSN provides and read three stories. Story 1 California farmers are crying for help to harvest crops and work the fields. Over 1/3 of their workers are 50+ years old and for the most part made up of illegal immigrants. Story 2. Food stamps being cut across the land on Monday, states scrambling to help those in need. There is a new requirement that mandates a person attend 20 hours a week in a job training program of sorts, but most report they can't find a job. Does the Grapes of Wrath come to mind? It's amazing that millions o out of work people would travel from the dust bowl where there were no jobs or food stamps, to California for agriculture jobs and a start in life. Most of them white. Story 3. Tomorrow the dreaded fine if you don't have health insurance. Oh but wait, there are plenty of loopholes to get out of it, extensions and so forth. In interviews with those uninsured, they have said they are refusing to be forced into buying insurance that they don't want or need. But what about the fine? The IRS can only collect the fine out of any tax refund people have, they won't be instituting other means. Probably the easiest loophole to jump through, you have to be nuts to so poorly plan your tax responsibility that you let the government owe you money that you overpaid. So that's the three articles, I'm chuckling about the guy who is crying about losing food stamps and yet farmers are crying for help. And I'm bemused at the continued farcical ACA. Tomorrow will come and go and nothing much will change in any of the subjects covered in the articles. Story 3. |

When we get rid of the illegals wages will go up without the need to artificially raise them. |
