The fact is that Colo and his ilk don't care if the Dems cheat.
You mean like Bush in Florida? He had 8 years to clean up the system and establish honest consistent voting practices nationwide. Now I wonder why he did not do that? I think the answer is very obvious. Same with Obama who has also not tackled this issue. The fact is that voter fraud is widely practiced in the US by both parties. You need a non partisan organization, if that is even possible, to clean it up and come up with a consistent national voting agency. We have that in Canada, it is called Elections Canada and it is fiercely non-partisan and as immune from government inflence as possible. It also ensures that votes are held to the identical system and standards country wide. You also need to scrap voting machi es as Canada and many European countries have done. Manual counting of votes with scrutineers from each party is the ONLY way to avoid fraud. The media who like immediate results on election night do not like it, but tough, its not supposed to be entertainment. Just as a matter of interest, in Canada you register to vote by providing Id, and receive a voter card that has to be taken with you to vote. Your name is then cossed off the list to ensure you do not vote twice. At the poll, you have to present ID or if you do not have it, sign an affidavit. If have to vote at your designated polling station or use an absentee ballot which is only counted if it is close enough to make a difference. If the vote is close they will check up on those who signed affidavids, to ensure they are legit. A judicial recount is often held. Accusations of voter fraud in Canada are relatively rare.
The point of the lawsuit is non political. It would effect all parties. It would clean the rolls of every name which does not have the right to vote in that county.

It would be interesting to see how a Gore presidency would have been, my guess is we would be further down the socialist road but be far better off in the pocket book. The multi $trillions lost in the financial collapse would probably have never occurred, i doubt Gore would have used the housing market to shore up hi ratings and the economy. We were doing quite well under the Clinton presidency as far as the economy is concerned.
And I seriously doubt that Gore would have invaded Iraq or dug in for an extended stay in Afghanistan.
I'm sure it would have been less damaging than Bush. But, we still would have had to contend with the rabid right and their obstructionism constipating congress and determined to deny him any wins, like they have with Obama. Let me wager a bet with you Tom, $5 to your choice of charities to the winner. I bet that when the republicans next gain control of the senate, that the democrats embrace obstructionism. Google your dear friend Harry Reid about the subject, he was very good at it the last time the republicans controlled that body.

The effect is not advantages to either party. Unless you are saying that Dem's deliberately keep dead people on the roles so they can have someone vote using their name.
