In the Hobby Lobby case, religious freedom – our first and oldest liberty – is being “balanced” against a “right” created, historically speaking, mere moments ago, a “right” to free contraceptives. Can people not go to the drug store and purchase those drugs or products themselves? |

I think that Hobby Lobby would still be providing insurance of its employees. The employees might have to file with Hobby Lobby what insurance policy they had purchased with the flex dollars. In fact, in the School District in which I worked for so many years, the District provided flex dollars for us to purchase insurance. We made our choice and the district paid the money to the insurance company. Nothing wrong with allowing employees to make choices in the expenditures of their earned benefits. Personal choice is good. Right? |

Any company with over 50 employees must provided insurance or be fined $2000 per person per year is the way I understand it. |

And providing flex dollars as benefits to purchase insurance accomplishes two things. One, the company has provided health insurance and, two, individuals have a choice. Isn't individual choice a good thing? |
