The guard who was assigned to Guard President Lincoln in his viewing box at Ford theater. He was subjected to questioning and scrutiny after it was uncovered that the had abandoned his guard position to first find a seat in the theater to watch the play, and later to a saloon for a night of drinking. he was in the saloon when the president was shot. A class A scoundrel for sure. |
