A few old geezers think they know better than the president. Now that is delusional. Obama is handling it just fine. Romney if elected would have handled it just fine too, and probably not much different.

The point is ,that nobody is going to start WW3 over this. There are territorial incursions all over the world from time to time. If this did not involve Russia, it would not have the same profile.

I agree. I suppose this whole matters is one of perspective. Russia considers the Crimean as Russian because A. They are next door B. Speak Russian C. Have natural resources.

(Thinking outloud)

I get where they are coming from, hell, with all the unrest in Quebec and so forth (national security concern for us) and being that Canada speaks English, has resources and is next door,----nah---Ok, it's in fashion these days and nobody seems to do much but rattle sabers. Do we ask them to surrender first or just march in and take over. Annex and assimilate.

In my case, it would make one of my grand kids a pure American. And make it easier to go up to Vancouver. :teeth:

There have been articles in the past that detailed how the president and military do not see eye to eye. I think he listens to their reports and if their recommendation conflicts with his policies or goals, he rejects the recommendations. I don't know if one of their recommendations was to have a well defined list of repercussions if Russia invaded adjacent sovereign territory, I suspect that the military and experts in the state department would have recommended such as within their groups are those who understand the true nature of Russia and the history of the region.

He listens to Valerie Jarrett. She runs the presidency. She hates the military and never listens to them no matter what.
