British Commonwealth bows to the Mecca and enshrines Sharia law into English and Welsh law.; I imagine Canada is not far behind in doing the same

To me the real problem is religion being codified in law. They should be separate. Patriarchal is the manner of all religions and you will never find equality when that reigns supreme. Women are second class and they are property.

How do you separate religion and morals when you talk about being codified in law?

I don't believe morals should be codified into law. Natural law encompasses what we need in the area of morals if we are going to live in societies. We don't need laws based on religious dictates, people don't need to be told how to behave, the instinct is within us all. As far as man made morals which included what we do with our bodies and personal lives, this is just wrong.

Then the crimes of theft, murder, rape, etc.... need to be taken off the books.

No, those are direct violations of natural law. Every kid has a conscience at an early age, they know right from wrong. In nature it is normal that there are homosexuals, multiple sex partners, and multiple relationships, yet religion has dictated laws that make normal illegal.

The crimes of theft, rape, murder etc. make living in a group impossible. Homosexuality etc do not.

Every kid has to be taught right from wrong. Religious morals which teach do not kill, etc.. do just that. In early human life it was nothing to kill another, steal from another and so on.

So explain how you separate the two.
