Anyone in Canada knows about corruption in Quebec. We are discussing US corruption here, and it spans both parties. Of course a one sided dogmatist like Berton chooses to ignore that.
Point of order Teleco. You are the one that expanded the topic beyond the democrats in Philadelphia, You don't really believe that you can then restrict the topic to our country do you? Shall we now discuss corruption in BC? What party do you belong to so I can start digging?

Yes, and besides BC, Montreal and Toronto (the NYC of Canada), the libs up there complain that the Harper administration is corrupt..... so, what's left? :teeth:

What's your point? Telco said that there is corruption in Quebec. Why should this topic only be about Dems in Philly? We know that Berton believes that all Dems are bad and all Reps are good but that doesn't make it so.

If your post is directed at my last post... I'd say my point is fairly obvious. As pointed out by Pat, Telco expanded the corruption beyond Philadelphia, "Your entire political system is corrupt," and I expanded the corruption to the entire North American Continent, by pointing out how even Canadians see their political system.

What's your point?

I beg to differ. His thread title is "Culture of corruption", that is a blanket statement and it encompasses both sides.

I know Berton is under the delusion that the only corruption is with the Democrats. I figured you were a little more open minded. I belong to no party. In bc the conservative party are the Liberal party, the left wi g are the NDP. I have voted for both.

I do not undersand. Why would anyone actually want to restrict a discussion of political corruption to only one of the major American political parties? It wouldn't be partisanship would it. It wouldn't be US right wingers being embarrassed about political corruption in the Republican party, or would it?
