Whether Russia decides to try to "absorb" more of the Ukraine and more of Eastern Europe depends on the resolve of the "free world," I suppose.

European Rifts Emerge Over Sanctions for Russia

EU Is Divided Over How to Share Pain Of Deeper Sanctions

The EU has the most to lose with Russia's "aggression." But it appears that several of those nations are reluctant to restrict their nation's beneficial trade relationship interests with Russia. So, why should the US get involved? There are long term reasons I suppose.... and short term reasons if you consider Russia's "support" of Syria and Iran with regard to US interests there and Putin's perception of how much the US will be willing to tolerate.

We say the Cold War is over. Is it really?

What would an atheist say of Ezekiel's 38:? "Fantasy!" Gog, Magog and Tubal and the brewing of that war to come? There are some prophetic parallels developing in eastern Europe and the Middle East.... and have been. But nah! Merely interesting, far fetched, fictional reading... 'tis a coincidence, nothing more! "This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!"— Merely this and nothing more.

Seems like everybody is free with criticism but far short of any suggestions. Unless of course you consider a nuclear exchange an option.

Point well taken. No suggestions from anyone translates into not much help from anyone.

Russia's aggression (and Iran's), left unchecked, runs the risk of progressing to something more formidable. It appears that the EU would prefer, as usual, for the US to make a move .... be the more "sacrificing." Israel, according to recent news reports, feels Iran's nuclear progression, with help from Russia (as with Syria) has reached that tipping point and has expressed doubt in truth to Obama's statement, "we have your back." But as described in "Ezekiel's War to come," Israel will stand alone.... no help from it's verbalized allies. Such a war would further destabilize the middle east and the energy dependent world. Short term, the EU stands the most to lose from the Ukrainian encroachment by Russia and it's possible ramifications. Israel's predicament with Iran is not without Russian influence. Presently, Russia is moving unchecked (no significant response) in it's eastern Europe and middle east destabilization activity.

Stay tuned.
