Just how much do those vociferous liberals contribute to the poor.... other than just talk. Do they, aside from their taxes, pledge a portion of their income to the poor? I'd suspect that the way they point fingers, I'm thinking maybe 15 or 20% of their gross income is pledged to the poor. Pledged and delivered. That would certainly give plenty of room for finger pointing.
This liberal spends a good deal of time and money working with Lions International. I have often asked for others on these forums to tell us to what community organizations they belong and how those organizations help the poor. I have yet to get a straight response from those calling themselves "right wingers."
I will look it up if you wish, but those right wingers you lambaste give far more in charity than the left.
Do you really think those on the Right on this board are going to tell you how much they gave to charity in return for tax breaks? Those are the right wingers I mentioned.

"Arthur Brooks, the author of a book on donors to charity, “Who Really Cares,” cites data that households headed by conservatives give 30 percent more to charity than households headed by liberals. A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.

Other research has reached similar conclusions. The “generosity index” from the Catalogue for Philanthropy typically finds that red states are the most likely to give to nonprofits, while Northeastern states are least likely to do so."

And that has what to do with the right wingers on this forum?

They are part of that group. BTW - What did Jesus say about the giving of money?

They are part of that group.

I take it you have some evidence about right wingers on this forum and their commitment to charity? How about sharing that evidence?

My experience in working with many members of Lions International and other community organizations, says that there is not real difference in commitment to charity between liberals and conservatives.

Apparently you have forgotten. Let me remind you:

“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. “Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

It just might be that is why you do not get the answer you seek.

That is true in that one case. But only in that one case and only because liberals were accusing me of doing nothing to help. False accusations as usual.

Why do you always try to make it personal about me rather than the subject? Is it impossible for you to discuss anything without making it personal about me?

A number of studies have been made. The nearly all come up with the same conclusion. Liberal families give less then conservative families.
