Most of the deadbeats down here that have historically used the emergency room for health insurance followed the same path Teleco says Canadians do. It is no sweat off their brow for walking in with a sniffle, hell, they weren't paying for it.
If they had insurance they would be less inclined to do so. That is what I meant by suggesting a modest user fee for ER, it would encourage people to follow the proper proceedure.

BTW berton, read my previous post, I would still like backup for ypur claim.

One goal of the Obama administration’s health care law was to reduce reliance on costly emergency room care.

Canadians on this board agreed.

The key words there are "to reduce reliance". Do you see the word "eliminate"? So where is this "so called" lie ypu keep refering to?

How do you re-train families to stop using the ER for minor colds and headaches when this has been their family history for generations, even if you give them free Obamacare?

You put a $10 ER user fee in place, that is all it takes. We used to have that in BC but they dropped it, big mistake.

There is already a fee for using the ER. Now rethink your answer.

But the use of the ER is going up not down. There is the lie.

Not here, but you also charge to see a doctor, so its a moot point.

I suggest you do some research like others have done and you will find that the ER usage will be going up.
