Why would I care or you whether Putin would be laughing at us? Russia is the one about to feel the affects of sanctions not us. Had we never been the policeman of the world we would have never stuck our nose there. I think we are better suited to being a regional influence, the same as an India, China, Russia or Brazil. Take care and focus attention on the neighborhood and allow others to do the same. |

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2014/03/18/Former-Australian-PM-Attacks-America-thinks-its-superior-rules-only-apply-to-inferior-nations I thought these comments by the former leader of Australia to be telling. How many here think that America is superior and that Americans believe rules only apply to inferior nations? I have to admit that in thinking about it, I have to agree with the thesis. In example after example this is the case. Maybe that belief which as the guys says has become a part of the American psyche is what is behind the quest by many to continue down the path of being global policemen and nosy. |

I think Obama is handling it properly. We have to do something to show support for Ukraine, which the limited sanctions accomplish. While at the same time realizing we have no vital interest there and Crimea is mostly Russian's anyway. I don't think Putin is laughing at anyone. He is a Russian nationalist, and doing what he thinks is necessary to protect their strategic interests and sphere of influence. Now, if he moved into an area not populated by a majority of ethnic Russians or a member of NATO, then things could get very serious. |

Like freezing the assets of all Russians, not just 5 or 6. Even Jemmy Carter knew to do that and did. But not the wuss we have for a president today. But that time is long past available as a deterrent. The Russians have already moved all their money out of the US and Western banks. |

What could Obama do that would cause you to praise him? This is more about your Obama derangement syndrome than any question of policy. |
