Note that no cities on the west coast made the list.

A 2.5 acre parcel that is close to us was listed last month. It had a home that was built in the 1920's and is a tear down. It was listed for $110,000 and received 12 offers in the first 4 days. The sales price was $155,000. Basely the buyer bought a lot.
That's the story in our neighborhood as well. House across the street was an unupdated late 1950s ranch of 1600 sq. ft. sitting on a bit less than a quarter acre. Went on the market and had 2 bids the first day. Sold for $270k, the house was scrapped and a million dollar Macmansion is being built.

Our place was sold as a live-in because of the additions and improvements we've done over the years. The 600 sq.ft. master bedroom suite was the biggie. We didn't have to put the house on the market as the people next door wanted to buy. Start building our Ohio retirement home in June and we can't wait to get out of Atlanta!

Amazing... Columbus, Ohio tops the list.

My mistake, Columbus came in last of the list. But Ohio did have the largest representation of any state with 5 cities making the cut. Can't wait to move out of the south and leave Atlanta's traffic behind.
