No, Neut, your apparently unsupported and unsupportable asinine assertion is what made a portion of this thread about you. You are the one who claimed that the article was "total
BS," weren't you? Did someone else make that post? If so I apologize. I should be having this discussion with that other poster who is using one of your many screen names.

Neut claims the article is "total BS." I guess that means that as a political consultant, Ailes did not repackaged Richard Nixon for television in 1968, did not attempt to paper over Ronald Reagan’s budding Alzheimer’s in 1984, and did not wage a secret campaign on behalf of Big Tobacco to derail health care reform in 1993.

I am wondering how one who claims to be a high info poster could have possibly missed these events when they, in fact, happened. I guess that Neut also thinks someone other than Murdock and Ailes did not establish and develop fox News. I wonder who Neutral thinks it was that did so.
Was FOX news around in the early 80's? I know CNN was. When did Ailes begin focusing on politics?

Now, back to the topic. What statement or statements in the RollingStone news article did you find to be untrue?
Don't you just wish you were a successful and respected forum administrator so you could actually tell me to get lost, Neut?

It appears that his focus on politics as a consultant began with the rebuilding of the TV personna of Richard Nixon. While the article did not say, Fox News was founded as a cable channel in 1996.

Did he have much money or influence way back then? Frankly I can't recall when all of the angry left-right shooting matches broke out. The first I recall any of this was in roughly 1994, I was visiting a friend's home in Tucson and he turned on the TV talk show hosted by Rush Limbaugh. I had never heard of the guy, Larry King was King of talk radio back then and I didn't think he was biased. Back then my focus was on business and family, not politics or social differences among us.

I see a left wing attack piece.
You don't like them spilling the beans on your hero Roger Ailes? He is a toad with no socially redeeming value, but he does make a lot of money for Rupert's Newscorp telling the right wing fanatics what they want to hear.
