I see it all the time colo_crawdad. Post after post of attacks on Christians and nearly every time the word extremist is used. That you fail to see it does not surprise me as you think in the same way. |

A quick look at the middle east shows what happens when you let religion into politics. And if you don't think christianity does not have a radical side to it, you must have never looked at history. Politics is a bit player next to religion when it comes to formenting intolerance and extremism. |

In my mind, religious beliefs are something that a person should keep to themselves, the same with sexuality and other very persoanl attributes that make up a person. Attempts to force others to adhere to a lifestyle or restrictions that are based in a personal philosophy of life are attacks against another individual's freedom and rights. The concept of live and let live does not exist in a religious person's body, the reason is not complicated, they believe that what they have been taught by a guru is the true quest of life and everybody should embrace it. |

I can agree with that. I believe in respecting the views of those who are religious, but draw the line when they attempt to influence politicians to pass laws based on their religion. We don't need shiara law or the christian equivalent. |
