You DO have a strange sense of humour, Neut.

BTW, the average temp for the continent of Antarctica is well below freezing - a few degrees warmer is hardly going melt all the ice.

But the amount of moisture in the air is increasing as it warms up, leading to more snow and freezing rain where the ocean meets the ice, so the ice in that area is actually expanding for the next while, even while parts of Antarctica are melting overall.

But of course, all that is too complex for you, so keep on laughing.

It will be another decade or two until there's serious thawing in Antarctica.
It doesn't look like it:

Australia just reported that 2013 ws the hottest year on record. Not one single day was at or below the long term average. Globaly 2013 was the 6th hottest year dating back to 1880

I don't expect to ever hear the Truth Virgins ever admit they're wrong, of course, but inside it must really eat at them that no real, unbiased, working Climate Scientist agrees with their point of view.

Just to churn them a little more, I'm going to post again what the qualifications should be, so they can see by how much they miss the mark. And to point out once more for Neut's education that agreeing with me is NOT one of the qualifications.

A qualified Climate Scientist is one who:

* 1 * - Is educated in the part of Climate Science being discussed.
* 2 * - Is presently working in the field.
* 3 * - Is not paid by Big Energy.

Simple, isn't it? No political bias, agreement is irrelevant, money is irrelevant, no room for argument. - And no weathermen!

Now all you have to do is find articles by a person with those qualifications, or by some layman who supplies links to such articles.

Assuming you find such a person, I will be happy to read whatever they have to say.

Arctic Sea Ice has reached a Record Low for this Time of Year:

You do have to be careful of reading too much into this sort of thing, as Antarctic Ice is expanding. But since the Arctic Ice area affects the populous land masses around it, it's safe to say it's far more important overall.
