I wonder if the liberals understand that many of the canceled plans were good plans even great plans but didn't cover birth control pills or condoms so they could not survive under Obamacare?

Berton,

If you visit the government healthcare website...a list of plan qualifiers is on display. The birth control provisions were mandated so that the cost could be spread among a larger pool. What the legislation did was define what was an acceptable level of coverage in a healthcare policy, as established by the congress.

Something as big and comprehensive as the ACA is sure to have issues that need to be addressed. What matters isn't that it's imperfect, but that is a step in the right direction toward universal affordable coverage. The stories are starting to come out about people who now have affordable coverage who had no chance of it before with the high premiums and limitations on existing conditions.

So how long before even the web site bugs get fixed? How long before the price is not so high people can't afford it? How long will it take to have waiting lines comparable to Canada?

I will disagree with your statement a bit Fr. Mike. What the legislation did was define what was an acceptable level of coverage in a healthcare policy, as established by the Democrats in Congress and by the bureaucrats who wrote the regulations. And again I have to make the statement to those who say the canceled policies were inadequate, do they understand that many of the canceled plans were good plans, even great plans, but didn't cover birth control pills or condoms so they could not survive under Obamacare?

Covering condoms and other forms of over the counter birth control devices and over the counter medications is NOT mandated in the ACA. Only medically prescribed medications are mandated to be covered by the ACA.

Condoms have NEVER been n issue with the ACA, except for a few fear mongering right wing propagandists.

Perhaps a medical explanation of the benefits of birth control pills will serve to be helpful in this discussion.

The Pill isn't just for birth control: Did you know that it can also protect against certain life-threatening cancers, plus help relieve some painful period symptoms? Here, experts explain the top seven health benefits of taking the Pill and how to make them work for you.

"protect against certain life-threatening cancers?" Boy, that should never be covered by health insurance policies. :sarcasim:
