I believe like many others that the Affordable Healthcare Act has much to be desired and that there are families that will suffer under the law. As others here pointed out, the law would not have passed congress had the truth been known about some of the problems that are now seeing the light of day. I also don't prescribe to the notion the an end justifies the means..and that our government and in particular our president being less than truthful, should be acceptable by any of us.

The excuse that some folks who wanted to maintain their present insurance and doctors is reason enough to justify dishonesty on the part of the president and his staff is disgusting on many levels. Two wrongs never make a right.
You know, Mike, you may be correct about not knowing enough about what was actually in the bill. If the extreme right had concentrated on what was really in the bill instead of their normal propaganda including BS like "death panels," we might have known more in advance. But to the right wing, propaganda, however false and/or misleading was preferable to truth. So here we are. The little boy has cried "wolf" far too many times.

Colo's statement is exactly what Brew does. If the article or poster disagrees with him he insults, EVERY TIME.
Absolute rubbish, Neut.

Post a genuine, truthful article with links to real experts, and you'll get nothing but compliments. (With a hint of amazement, admittedly, but do it a few times, and even that will pass.)

In the meantime the whining about the insults you bring upon yourself is getting tiresome.

What did the right say that wasn't true?
Higher premiums, more taxes, people would lose their health coverage, would lose their doctors. Which isn't true?

Yes, you prove my point, if the article would agree with you there would not be insults. Sorry, that is not how it works.

Mike I understand your point that the end doesn't necessarily justify the means, but I do not believe the president or anyone else closely related to the act deliberately lied. They may be guilty of an excess of enthusiasm, but that would be the worst.

And you must admit, they got absolutely NO help from across the floor.

And the simple fact is that the US has been spinning its wheels on this issue since Teddy Roosevelt.

If not this, what?

If not now, when?

I am surprised to read Neut saying that Brew talks to him as a parent would talk to a child, threatening him with further punishment if the child doesn't change his ways. Bit if that is how Neut feels, so be it.

More BS Neut. Where did I say I had to agree with it?

You're just making stuff up. That's the kind of thing that gets you more insults.

Looking at the overall picture, every single D*mn one of them.

Just because you can find a handful of cases where people have fallen through the cracks doesn't prove your case. It only proves you've got your Right Wing Blinkers tied on too tight.

More insults, the usual from these two.
No answer to my question either.
Obi lied his butt off when he said one could keep their insurance and doctor if they liked it. Only the useful idiots say differently.

Interesting that neut apparently left out the right wing's lies about "death panels." Or maybe he tried to defend those lies in one of his posts not quoted by others.
