Actually, it's just another "Green" initiative - we all can replace our incandescent light bulbs with fish - they'll glow without any need for power. |

Incandescent.....I'm busy changing out the fluorescent squiggly bulbs to the more efficient LED units. Saving one whale at a time. Buying a couple more this week. |

There was an interesting study done on the nuclear reactor that melted down in the USSR. Within a few years the birds and animals returned to the now abandoned area and thrived. The reason found is that cancer from radiation exposure takes time to develop and most species of wildlife don't live long enough for it to become a problem. The good news is that we will only destroy ourselves and the earth will be able to do very nicely without us. |

Ken, The propaganda and talking points are depending on people to ignore that fact. Not long ago there was the death of one of the response team members from radiation related causes. Contamination is everywhere within the region and it takes forty hours to clean one plot of land and it's home. With the ongoing release of radiation, we will not see the full extent of the carnage for decades. |

Mike, I agree. However the majority of the long term health damage will be limited to humans. |

Given this information about the tragedy, I have to wonder about the argument that Germany is using Solar to replace the wrong energy source -- nuclear. It would seem that source needs replacement. |
