My opinion is based on observing his handling of Putin over Syria and his thinking about how Assad should be handled; his thinking that soft handling of Iran, a policy that has never worked before, after drawing a "red line" in the matter and taking Iran's nuke activity past the red line; his handling of the Benghazi situation; his deteriorating image by ally leaders because of his lack of quality leadership even though those same leaders "bitch" when the US does act..... you need a leader with gonads; giving his leadership support to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in the form of $1.5 billion with the Brotherhood proving to be a Islamic leadership rather than a secular leadership.

My observations, my opinion as to your suggestion to lead "the more advanced countries of the world are going to have to recognize that Islamic fundamentalism is a threat to us all, and band together to defeat it or at least get it under some kind of control." That will take strong leadership to do that. There has never been "compromise" in dealing with terrorists that has lasted for any significant time.

Addendum: Since the suggestion (Post #2) is yours, who would you pick to lead?

You only name situations, but don't explain why you disagree with how he's handled those situations. Do you think we should have attacked Iran even though it looked like we might make some progress on their nukes? What do you disagree with regarding Benghazi? What do you know that the rest of us don't? Document his deteriorating image among allies, please, rather than parroting right wing talking points. Also, please tell us why you think giving the financial aid to Egypt in order to preserve the peace between Egypt and Israel is a bad thing. What compromise have we ever had with terrorists? I have no idea who should lead. Do you think it's our responsibility?

You asked why I would not pick Obama and my answer is an opinion that I have based on observations of how he handled the above. I think you should answer my question and state who you would pick and why as to who you would have lead.

You come back with more questions, as you usually do while making no attempt to give your opinion of who you would have lead what you suggested. Why is that?

I said I didn't know. If you want me to answer the way you want me to, just answer for me.

It would be helpful to understand your opinion if you were to explain why you came to those conclusions based on your "observations".

You're not even going to give an opinion on your own suggestion are you?

I didn't think so.

If I had an opinion, I'd give it. I did notice you haven't given yours either.

As far as I'm concerned, I gave my reasons, and who I might see leading and not leading.

You offer no opinion to your own suggestion. I give up on thinking you might.

I did offer an opinion of a sort. I said I didn't know. That is an opinion.
You are entitled to base your opinions on nothing if you so choose, but I saw nothing of substance to back up those opinions, just that you disagreed with what Obama did, which is the mainstay of conservative criticism. No facts, just talking points.

Maybe part of the solution would be if countries like ourselves would quit pushing human rights and all that bs. Some societies need a strong dictator to keep the country under control without interference from do gooders. Iraq is a fine example.
