No they don't but Obi isn't too much of a scholar as he didn't know how many states we have.

Do those on the right believe that if they simply complain these "violations" will end? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe that whining and complaining has ever caused any significant change.

Ken,
From what I see, whine and complain seems to be all they know how to do. If they really believed in what they post there should be enough to support a court challenge, but that would take work and brains, something that they seem to lack and avoid.

Three pages, 10 posts by liberals, not one of which discuss the items listed. Typical.

What's to discuss? If the President is actually violating the Constitution (I don't believe that he is) a true patriot would act rather than whine. If the current crop of cons had been our forefathers they would have written some whiny letters and we'd still be a tea drinking British colony.

Berton,

Since you posted this I must assume that you believe that the President is violating the Constitution and therefore his oath of office. Do you have any plan of action or do you expect others to do your heavy lifting?

My point is to discuss the items listed. I thought that was what a discussion board was about. Perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps it is to end discussion like your last post is designed to do with your childish challenge.

BTW - Do you agree with Brewster setting him self up as GOD?

I don't know, but I had no thoughts about being a Constitutional scholar except when you brought it up. Apparently the thread suggestion is about "violations." You don't have to be a scholar to violate the Constitution. I'd think one could be relatively ignorant of the Constitution and still violate it in some manner... say by denying one's freedom of speech and not know it's an amendment; or, one could be a scholar and inappropriately make decisions that are contrary to what the Constitution was intended to allow. It seems the title theme took off on another tangent..... violations of to knowledge of.
One does have to be a Constitutional scholar to correctly identify violations. Otherwise such accusation are just BS.

Perhaps! But you don't have to be a Constitutional scholar to deprive someone of their freedom of speech, freedom to bear arms, impede their rights to progress because of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation all of which have been done since the Constitution and amendments came into being and effected by some folks who aren't scholars of the Constitution.

Turn the coin over and you have a Constitutional scholar who understands the limitations and knows the loopholes and uses that knowledge to finagle his/her will on others for his/her own purposes. A Constitutional scholar is more fitted to effect Constitutional violations in a camouflaged way that takes a Supreme Court to sort out. A court that is appointed, usually according to political orientation.

If the loonies had a case that Obama was exceeding his constitutional authority it would have been challenged in court already. But, when you have no case, you can still feed the BS to the hungry base for their consumption.

Fact is most legislation leaves wiggle room for implementation by the executive branch. They are still writing the rules for Dodd/Frank, with lots of input from Wall Street. Why should the ACA be any different? Congress can always revisit if additional legislation is warranted. Of course with the "just kill it" attitude of the GOP don't count on getting anything accomplished that way.
