Sorry, Neut. You need facts to back that up.

And no, Bertie's Right Wing hit piece based on two year old policies and equipment don't count.

Wikipedia - German Solar Power

As the article says, Solar in Germany is on a steep upward curve, doubling every 1 1/2 years. The initial cost is very low for a feed-in tariff and very high for a tax credit. In both cases the learning curve reduces the cost of installation.

They are now in the position of EXPORTING power on peak days, dramatically dropping costs.

But then, facts are such LIBERAL things...

Don't confuse those guys with facts, Brew. Facts? They don't need no stinking facts.

You see, I gave you some facts and you ignored them. Meanwhile we are going to get our energy from fossil fuels with solar as a meager pittance.

You gave me some facts? And I missed them? A glorious moment like that?

I'll have to go check!

Hmm -your first post says you have never seen a home constructed with Solar. I found a couple of sites that showed you must drive around town with blinkers on.

Your next post swivels & backtracks on your first one.

Your third one admits they DO sell Solar, and you make it sound like I claimed they didn't. Another swivel - good agility for an old guy!

Your next try says the gov't kicks in $1.5 Bn., and you claim that's idiotic. I immediately showed that's far less than you're wasting on Fossil Fuels, which makes them even more idiotic.

So then you insulted me, and said I was changing course when all I was doing was following your swivelling.
You also made the claim, with nothing to back it up, that Fossil Fuels were doing well. I showed you 45 cases where they weren't.

Your next post basically said, "They Do Too!", which is the same level of proof as I get from my 3 year old granddaughter.

The next post claimed I was a Hoot... Thank you, I appreciate that.

Then you decided Solar City was exaggerating its claims, with absolutely nothing to back it up.

Then you tried to say the company was lowballing its estimates, still with nothing to back it up.

Next was a claim that people were only using Solar to heat water, still nothing to back it up, and considering what else had already been posted, an absolute lie.

Next was a claim that my opening picture was propaganda. Since it only made fun of what so many energy companies have already said, another lie.

Then you posted a piece from a Right Wing Blog, whose claims had been debunked before you even posted it. It contains more links - to more Right Wing Blogs.

And then you made the claim that you'd posted facts somewhere.

What facts, Neut? Where? In all that multitude of posts, there is nothing in any of them that links to any expert anywhere!

Instead of arguing the subject, Brewster as usual resorts to his childhood ways which is one reason this board can not expand with new members. I would say it is a Canadian thing but Mountainrivers joined in with his childhood ways too.

Hmmm - do you think Bertie might've added anything of substance?

Nahhh...

Brewster's childish name calling and insults didn't add anything of substance now did it?

If he had acted like a adult I would have continued the conversation to show him how wrong his conclusion was but that is something he does not want so he resorts to name calling and insults rather than acting like a adult. But it is to be expected now that he knows Pat will be out of pocket for awhile.

Of course not. He is attempting to get as many insults posted as possible while Pat is away tending to medical problems.

Solar electric and heat fix your costs, no more inflation. If you believe the cost of energy is going down then solar doesn't make sense, how many here believe the cost of energy is going down in the next few years?

Other than the conection costs I can run my home on the heat and electricity generated with no expense or cash out flow. When did your power company last raise costs, here we often see two increases a year.

And the perfect combo is to buy a Volt or other electric car...

One guy on the Volt website (new Mexico) has driven over 20,000 miles so far in a year and a half, and has burned 9 gallons of gas (after 9 months, the car automatically burned it off before it went stale).

That comes out to 2,222 MPG., and the $33 he spent on gas is the only energy expenditure he's had since he bought the car.
