Not a link in the bunch - just a list of titles.

Do I now have to teach Bertie what a link is?

I finally dug down through layers of links to find the original - sure would have been easier if Bertie had just posted the links rather than titles.

But considering how much he cherry picked to tell only the story he and his Right Wing blogger wanted, it's pretty easy to see why he didn't.

Anyway, what did I find?

About 1/3 of the total are standard Right Wing rubbish, full of adjectives and no facts.

About half support Solar in some degree or other. (Weren't going to link to those, were you, Bertie?)

And the few left try to Baffle with Bullsh*t.

An example:

There's one that compares the cost of a Nuke to the cost of Germany's Solar Program... The Nuke's much cheaper. The author then says two Nukes would supply as much electricity as the whole German network, and cost much less.

Note the inconsistencies?

First, the small one - Germany's network is working - the Nukes are still pie in the sky - who knows what the final cost will be?

Now the big one - Let's say PM Merkel in Germany has a sudden mental imbalance, and tears out all the Solar network to build those two Nukes - great. (We'll ignore the 20 years it would actually take to build those things) Now what do we do? We have two monstrous installations somewhere in Germany, churning out vast amounts of power - (and Nuclear Waste).

Do you want some power in your house? Are you going to walk over to the plant with a little cup and say, "Please sir, could I have a cup of electrons?"

Yup, that's right - there is absolutely no mention in the article of what it would cost to build a network to CARRY that power! You'd better hope you live pretty close to the plant (and I hope you don't mind the odd dose of radiation - perfectly safe amounts, I'm sure...)

Oddly enough, the Germans didn't just build Solar Generators, they built a WHOLE NETWORK, which costs far more than the Solar bits.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the Scandinavians will build a network too, but somehow Bertie's authors seem to have missed it.

It's not nearly as good a story, but you really have to compare network to network, or generator to generator.

My friend powers his sizable jewelry store and his two Chevy Volts with a large solar array. He is happy with the set up, but he hasn't had the experts Bertie and Newt convince him he is screwing up.

Yup, that's why we need the links, Neut - We cannot trust Berton to tell the truth, never mind the whole truth, so we have to check just where he's Cherry Picked, and where are the more-than-important little details he tends to leave out..

Which often turns out to be Everywhere!

Now, it's not quite as big a problem with you, because you rarely post anything but one liners anyway.

Yep, exposing the truth about the links is an insult . . . . . . . . . . .. according to Neutral.

Yes, the links were there, Neut - buried several layers down in a Right Wing blog.

But the catch is, the links that mattered didn't say what Bertie and his Right Wing author said they did. In fact, many said precisely the opposite of what they claimed.

There's a term for that - just what was it again? Hmmm...

But don't worry - by tomorrow your remarkable memory will recall how you and Bertie gave us the facts, and we "libs" were just too stubborn to accept them.
