Why does it always happen to the poor folks in poor high rise part of town? A couple of wind mills on the roof of the project high rises would have prevented that. Six days and counting. You have to watch the video to get the full effect: The plight of Toronto's poor folks Apparently they aren't appreciating the fact that they have free health care to take care of them after they get pneumonia or frost bite. Ungrateful poor! Edited by Banandangees, Dec 27 2013, 10:59 PM.

So, as you both seem to be experts on cleaning up after an ice storm, exactly what would you do to alleviate the situation? |

I already wrote what this expert would have done (you probably missed it), a couple of wind mills on the roof as a backup source of power. Down here, electric companies from all over the country pile in to help and are willing to do so if unions rules don't prevent it. But, as I wrote, it always seems to be the poor folks... as the video shows... that seem to be affected the most. But, perhaps you didn't realize that Canada, outside Port Dover, does have it's poor folks who are in need. |

I have been, years ago, without power due to ice storms for a week or longer. You seem to have no clue to the logistics of removing downed trees and replacing or repairing broken and downed wires. You should hurry up here, I am sure that your expertise would not go unnoticed. |

Like your expertise in recovery from tornado damage? Remember your criticism? Oh, the ice storms which hit up there started down here where I live. Don't try to tell me about ice storms or the logistics involved. |
