If the discussion on this thread is only for ducsusson of mental health programs ad the availbilty of guns, I feel I must apologize for posting an analysis of the complexity of the problems connected with the shooting and suicide at Arapahoe High School
No reason to apologize, you lent some new facts into the discussion. Maybe his parents and upbringing are to blame.
Some people just can't deal with humiliation, as it appears in this case. Others can't deal with being bullied or ostracized. As long as people treat other people with no respect, we shouldn't be surprised when these things happen.

You mean like the lack of respect shown by some people on the left for others on this very board?

Pat,

The hospitals were closed because of their costs. Decent, or otherwise, treatment of the mentally ill played little, if any, role in the decision.

Don't apologize for anything Colo, like I already said I appreciate your thoughts on it, it was a great from the heart post from a man with a long history in education and with three in school today their safety is not a game to me or any other child. We're just on opposite sides of the fence on how to protect them.

I see berton is whining & sulking again. Must be a new experience for him being on a board where not everybody falls in line with his opinion.

You never see conservatives politicizing someone's accidental death as you do liberals.
