News to night showed guns being melted
down by Detroit cops.

Wonder how many kids were saved by this action?

I am sorry to dissappoint you Don, but your intended personal attack missed the mark by several miles. I am in a school building with current teachers a minimum of three days per week and with additional active teachers almost every Saturday. All those teachers tell me the same thing that I posted. Of the very few teachers they know who would be willing to carry a gun in a school, they are all those whom would be most dangerous to students and fellow staff members.
Colo, that wasn’t meant as an insult just saying what I thought. Colorado is the birthplace of school shootings with Columbine and with your theater shooting and recent school shooting you’re sticking out like a sore thumb with serious youth issues. What’s your background or the teachers you still talk to when it comes to saying “they are all those whom would be most dangerous to students and fellow staff members”? You don’t have any I know, you’re rabid antigun and that’s what drives your brain process and nothing else. Wakeup from lala land and do something to protect your students, if you’d open your eyes and learn something new you’d probably see the same “very capable” and practically free resources I see here once honed properly that would make your schools a serious deterrent. And it looks like in Colorado district administrators can make that decision on a local level compared to us having to amend state law first which we will eventually.

Ken irritated me a little flopping around on this but stated his bottom line, “it’s a job for fulltime LE and nobody else” and that is “pie in the sky” believing a cop will be in the right place at the right time to stop an active shooter, much less what cop you draw, like any other occupation you have good ones and bad ones for the situation… flip a coin.

A group of well trained armed teachers with a solid plan would defeat a shooter faster than any LE response could and we have several seriously interested in our school crowd that already carry daily outside of school.

I realize I’m on a forum with of bunch of retired dinosaurs but the blood is on your hands not mine if you aren’t proactive trying to stop these shootings.

Yeah, that probably explains my owning two guns. Why do you keep posting things about which you know absolutely nothing, Don?

And I suppose you will claim that asinine ignorant comment was not intended to be an insult.

Colo, are you brain dead? Do you remember me labeling you a "yapper" on the Congress forum going on for day's asking me why self defense weapons shouldn't be limited to 2 bullets. Your're a gun grabber to the core.

Ok, tell me about your guns if you want to, it's a topic I'm pretty versed on.

Pie in the Sky.

To the best of my knowledge, that has never happened.

More to the point, the most likely result if such a scenario happened would be that a whole bunch of children would get killed in the crossfire.

We have security people at state buildings, federal buildings, sports events, etc; not sure why some think we shouldn't have them at schools. We have adult teachers who we trust with our kids, some of them are surely intelligent and capable enough to carry a firearm.

Brewster, what’s your background on teaching weapon and tactic skills? Do you hold any certifications personally?
