I can't believe what comes out of the mouths of the administration these days, take this current gem by Sec. Sebelius. I'l paraphrase it some just o point out the truly astonishing level of absurdity she embraces. " listen up please, I want the stockholders of insurance companies to risk going broke,, yes, it's their patriotic duty to remove all common sense from their business decisions and go ahead and cover people just because they say they have coverage through out company." Now this is from a cabinet head of our government, not a drunk siting on the steps of a bar after closing time. I do agree wither that 'it' is a mess, but putting the blame on everybody but themselves as the president is going around doing and now expecting companies and their stockholders to put themselves at a high degree of risk is beyond absurd. The problem we now face is this and they know it. The door has been slammed shut on backtracking on this fiasco. Were this a couple of months ago it was possible to put a hold on Obamacare and then work out the problems, instead the rocket has left the launching pad, the shuttle has rotated and a number of valves in the fuel tanks that were known to be defective are seconds away from blowing up the /challenger. There is no going back now, the shuttle occupants can see failure lights all over the cockpit, they are screaming to be saved, but it's to late. In a matter of minutes when the calendar flips over to 2014 the carnage will be unleashed. Expecting private companies to pick up the tab and probably the blame is embarrassing to me as a citizen. Tick, tick, tick, tick, John Semmens: Semi-News — A Satirical Look at Recent News Folder2 104While the government continues to struggle with what seem to be insurmountable problems with the Affordable Care Act’s implementation, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius urged insurers to “cover whoever claims to have insurance.” "We fully understand that under normal conditions insurance isn’t effective until the insured has paid a premium for coverage,” Sebelius said. “However, we aren’t dealing with normal conditions. Many who have tried to sign up for insurance haven’t been successful. For many of those who have been told they’re signed up our system hasn’t been able to properly bill them. Some have assumed that the president’s executive order saying they could keep their old insurance means they’re automatically covered. And a distressingly large number of people seem to think that health care is, like the ‘Obama phone,’ free.” “Honestly, it’s a total mess,” the secretary continued. “We’re asking the insurance industry to just pay whatever charges come across their desks until we get it all sorted out. We consider it part of their patriotic duty.” Karen Ignagni, president and CEO of Americas Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), is decidedly unenthusiastic about Sebelius’ request calling it “an invitation to fiscal insolvency. The whole premise of insurance is that everyone pays a premium to cover contingencies that may occur in the future. It doesn’t work if we let people wait until the contingency occurs before they pay.” Sebelius tried to allay industry concerns by reminding Ms. Ignagni that “the president has promised that any losses insurers may incur as a result of a proactive stance of covering whatever claims are submitted will be reimbursed, no questions asked.” Ironically, on the same day that Sebelius was endeavoring to entice industry compliance with this promise, politifact.com announced that President Obama won 2013′s award for the biggest lie of the year for reassuring people that “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it, period.” In related news, Sebelius asked her Department’s Inspector General to investigate “the colossal failure of the website. We need to find out who authorized the extraordinarily expensive, yet massively malfunctioning programming. Who chose the contractor? Who oversaw the work? Who approved payments without verifying that the work was satisfactory? I am both angry and mystified as to how this could have happened.” |

She and her boss are idiots, she would have been fired if she were in a private enterprise. Obi keeps her around so the blame can be placed on her and he can say again "I didn't know, duh". |

Oh, and don't forget to read several times that last paragraph of the article. quote--"we need to find out" hell, we already know who is at fault, you and the president madam Sec. the buck stops with you two. If you failed in due diligence then resign, both of you, but quit with the childish finger pointing. It's embarrassing. |

Kathleen Sebelius, like Susan Rice, is a puppet. What she does or says depends on how the strings are pulled. Most of Obama's "Czars" are pubbets doing his bidding. Congress doesn't work quite that way, so he goes about his unending campaigning tours and builds a bigger, wider, deeper national chasm, which comes under the divide and conquer category. It's his bidding that's given the highest importance, not the ultimate welfare of the nation. Hell, he's even making a puppet out of the IRS. If the deep, wide chasm isn't enough to get the people to heel, strike fear into their hearts by turning the IRS loose on them. |

Yes I read that, now try funding it. Congress is at this moment pushing legislation to stop any of that before it gets started. The current law allows I believe a 4% reimbursement rate for unknown cost overruns. So here is what we have, Mary Smith goes to the hospital for a heart operation, when the hospital tells here that she doesn't have insurance she tells the hospital that she does and there must be a mistake. So her husband calls the insurance company and they say the same, nope, you never paid a premium and we have no record of you being a customer. So Mrs. Smith's husband tells the insurance company that Sec. Sebelius said the insurance company should just go ahead and foot the $100,000 operation. So the insurance company calls up the administration and is told not to worry, . send the receipt to us and we'll reimburse you 4%. Yes Mr. President, no problem, I'll just go ahead and eat a hundred, no excuse me, $96,000. Oh, and what should we do with Mr. Jones who is here saying the same thing about his brain surgery? Tick, tick, tick, tick |

Why are you so negative about it when most of it hasn't even taken effect yet? If it doesn't work out, it can be repealed. What the government does, it can undo. |
