| They can retire on your inheritance gift; at least the next generation, no hope after that | |

Pat, I disagree. We do need to "re-invent the wheel" for each generation. Striving to succeed is what made this country great. Where is the motivation to achieve if you know that you don't have to? Generational wealth breeds more Paris Hilton types than hard workers. No one picks their parents and we now seem determined to make a superior class aristocracy based on inherited wealth. |

Rich folks should be able to pass their wealth on to their kids less the taxes of course. If you win the lottery you have to pay tax on it. Why shouldn't an inheritance be handled the same way. |

How can you compare winning the lottery to inheriting wealth? LOL |

I would say so, the luck of birth. For some reason, life is easier for those born to multi millionaire parents than to those born into destitution and squalor. Of course those on the right can never see this. |

Someone worked for the inheritance, not sure why anyone can't see the difference. |

Boy I sure can. How would the average citizen in Port Dover feel if they had the bad luck of being born in Bangladesh or Harare? Maybe in their next life. |

Or screwed others to gain wealth. Does buying influence and underhanded business practices qualify as work? |
