Yep, I think this coming off season is going to be a blood bath in the republican party, the conservatives allowed the speaker to continue on, and that after he was caught red handed back dooring with Obama. Maybe he feels confident that he has enough rinos on board to keep his power.

Evidence--
On Wednesday, the Tea Party Patriots said the firing of Paul Teller, the Executive Director of the House Republican Study Committee (RSC), was a declaration of war against conservatives by the Republican establishment.
Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin said that Teller (pictured), who was widely respected by movement conservatives in the fight against the GOP establishment, "was summarily fired today in a move that can only be perceived as a shot to conservatives and Tea Party Members who are not part of the establishment."
New RSC Chairman Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) is an ally of House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), who, along with other establishment Republicans, were fed up with what they believed were Teller's attempts to undermine their moderate policy proposals and compromises.
"Paul is a conservative who works closely with outside groups, like ours, in order to communicate to Members of Congress what is being said in the outside world, the rest of the country that they often times forget they are supposed to be Representing," Martin said in a statement. "This is truly a line in the sand against those who want less government."
Martin said that the Tea Party Patriots "will continue to defend those who the establishment attacks because we understand the attacks on our allies are attacks on us and our shared goals."

Perhaps Berton will like this post better. It ignores the FACT that the guy in the White House is black. - Quote:

Yep, it violates their primary goal -- to avoid and defeat ANYTHING that might help that guy in the White House from reelection, even though he is not seeking reelection. The Republicans have stated that as their goal many times.
I don't believe that is the case Colo, the issue of deficit spending is one of the key issues that angered enough people to join together under the tea party flag. Spending had become out of control and neither congress nor any of the presidents were doing anything about it. The republican presidents as well as democrat ones are equal to blame, they all promoted spending more than was coming in. And it escalated dramatically when Bush Jr. decided to wage two multi $ trillion wars on the credit card and let a housing bubble and Wall Street destroy the economy that Clinton ushered in. Tell me Colo who would have stepped up and confronted the madness had the tea party not intervened? Who was going to put big boy pants on? As we see from this article, the established spending club in congress is now attacking those who have fought to contain spending. This has nothing to do with the race of the president. Don't forget, Pat, that just a few years ago when a Republican was financing the invasion and occupation of another country on only deficit off-budget spending, the right wing conservatives were arguing that the massive increase in federal det was not a problem. It became only a a problem when they lost the White House. Talk about the ultimate in hypocrisy.

"Evidence--" without a link is simply no evidence. Is that from yet another source which you are too embarrassed to post?

Are you really that lazy that you can't do a search and find it? I did in about five seconds.

In their effort to curtail spending, the TPer's have cost the economy an enormous amount of growth. Not only that, but they've made the country the laughing stock of the world by demonstrating that our form of government won't work if either side isn't willing to compromise. I think I heard that the extension of unemployment benefits was rejected. That should save some money. Won't do the economy any good, but it will save money. They didn't raise taxes either. The ultra right can't be satisfied.

Since spending is a mater for congress to deal with, why did the democrats allow this to go on?
