Not bad for a 2nd time buyer who is 33. It's even better if your parents went from rags to $millions as civil servants. A key to success and a life of luxury is being born right. Bribe the stork if you must, but either land on the front porch of wealthy parents or better yet, be like the Jacksons or Clintons. There are several paths all with the same ending,a pot of gold at the end of a democrat party rainbow.

We recently witnessed how the son of a civil rights leader staked out his claim to $millions, but even better is to have an ambitious pair like Bill and Hillary as parents. From governor mansions to the Whitehouse, from a measly $4,000,000 pad to a fixer upper for $10+ million. Nice neighborhoods, servants as a child, guaranteed entry to the finest universities, entry level jobs that start at over a hundred grand a year. And oh yes, connections galore. Meet and marry into big time financier families that are democrat party bosses. The connections go on and on. And access to top notch advice on offshore hideaways, for that little extra that needs socking away for the kids. Out of the view of prying eyes.

I'm proud of you Chelsea, a real chip off the old block.

Chelsea Clinton, Husband Buy $10.5M New York City Apartment

By Kathleen Perricone | omg! – 16 hours ago

Chelsea and Mark. (Getty Images)Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky are moving on up … to a deluxe apartment in Manhattan’s Flatiron district.

The married couple of three years has traded in their “measly” $4 million apartment for a much more spacious (and much more expensive) $10.5 million pad located in Manhattan’s Flatiron district, a source confirms with omg!.

The new Clinton-Mezvinsky abode is sprawling (and not just by NYC standards) at nearly 5,000 square feet, and is housed inside luxe building The Whitman. The place boasts four bedrooms, six and a half baths, a state-of-the-art kitchen, planting terrace, home office, and media room – not to mention amazing views of Madison Square Park across the street.

The five-story building, which was first constructed in 1924, has been completely renovated by a developer and will be “delivered in mint condition” to all of its new occupants in June or July, adds the source. The penthouse, which takes up the fourth and fifth floors, sold for over $20 million … so Clinton’s new neighbors are no slouches!

According to the source, the top-of-the-line appliances and finishes in Clinton’s home, as well as the building’s other three residences, were pre-selected by the developer… but of course that doesn’t mean she can’t do her own remodeling once she moves in.

According to omg!’s source, mom and dad, both wearing hard hats, happily posed for photos with the building’s construction workers.

The Whitman, located on E. 26th Street, also has a key-locked elevator, gym, full-time doorman, and refrigerated package room.

The former first daughter and her 35-year-old hubby “live in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking,” a source told the newspaper. “It’s great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private. There aren’t hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security.”

"At the end of a Democrat party rainbow", as if that sort of thing doesn't happen with republicans, too. Is the author of that piece jealous or is he implying something nefarious? Isn't it possible that both the Clintons and Jacksons earned their money? You often tell us about your wealth and how you plan to pass it on to your heirs. What's the difference? I suspect that both Chelsea and her husband are intelligent individuals who have earned their station in life, albeit their name alone, would give them a leg up.

Let me jar your memory Neal. Bill and Hillary Clinton lived in public housing and traveled by public owned cars from their college graduation until and including now. Bill never owned a car as an adult and this is when he was governor. Chelsea made the news as a snot nosed recent college graduate, when one of her dad's connections hired her for over a hundred grand a year, in a job that was unrelated to her education. Like i said, bravo to you Chelsea, the stork did you right. A few investments tips from mom could help in furnishing the new pad. Remember Hillary's little insider trading event that she was let off scott free when it was uncovered?

Both Bill and Hillary wrote books and received millions in the process. They both received large paychecks in the government jobs they held. Bill gets many thousands of dollars in fees for speeches and public appearances. Since you have no idea why Chelsea was hired nor do you know the whole story behind the futures deal Hillary made money on, you are just making stuff up to suit your dislike for them. Referring to Chelsea as snot-nosed says it all.

No, not at all Sea Dog, in fact I take my hat off to these democrat stalwarts for using our democracy as a means for enrichment. It's a dog eat dog world out there and it shortens the path to financial freedom to nurture contacts and bank favors. It's the American way. And I think Neal is pulling my leg with his comment about Chelsea's entry level job and salary. It made the headlines as being a surprising pay for an inexperienced worker. No mail room job for the president's daughter.

Just for the record, Pat, Chelsea has a lot going for her other than famous parents. Here are some of her accomplishments and btw, her husband is an investment banker, so they probably have a good income.

"Chelsea Clinton was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, during her father's first term as Governor of Arkansas. She attended public schools there until her father's election to the Presidency of the United States at which time she attended and graduated from the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. She pursued her undergraduate education at Stanford University and also earned master's degrees from University College, Oxford, and Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at University of Oxford. She has worked for McKinsey & Company, Avenue Capital Group, New York University and serves on the board of the School of American Ballet, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Clinton Foundation, Clinton Global Initiative, Common Sense Media, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Weill Cornell Medical College and IAC/InterActiveCorp.[2][3]

Yes Neal, I know, the doors were all opened wide for her through connections. And she has capitalized. Same with her husband. Guess what his daddy is renowned for and how he got his start?

Yes, like nearly all offspring of wealthy or otherwise famous people. So What? I hardly think that her father-in-law has anything to do with her.

You keep throwing terms out like "so what", why is that? I have not once in this thread complained about the process. There is generally enough fat in a system to allow for special treatment to the offspring of those involved. I have no doubt that her college thesis and interviews go superb and she is awarded the Doctorate. (snicker). Like i said, there is plenty of fat and many ways to hide people of influence.
