If his agenda isn't socialism then I wish he or someone else would tell us just what it is. All these people not working and so many of welfare will not work.

You know exactly what it is, Neut, but you won't accept it.

O is trying his D*mndest to put people back to work, and the Reps just won't let him.

When the party of "NO" finally gets wiped out in 2014, employment will jump by 4% immediately.

If that were true he is a total failure. What is it he will do to get 4% unemployment?

He sure has a funny way of showing it.

What in Peggy Noonan's article do you find as paranoia?

Peggy Noonan's article last week would fit in exactly with the theme of this thread:

The Anti-Confidence Man

"But it's a jobs crisis that's the central thing. And you see it everywhere you look."

"It's all so frozen, so stuck. Just when America needs a boost, some faith, a breakthrough.

Mr. Obama is making the same mistake he made four years ago. We are in a jobs crisis and he does not see it. He thinks he's in a wrestling match about taxing and spending, he thinks he's in a game with those dread Republicans. But the real question is whether the American people will be able to have jobs.

Once they do, so much will follow—deficits go down a little as fewer need help, revenues go up as more pay taxes. Confidence and trust in the future will grow. People will be happier.

There's little sense he sees this. Dr. Doom talks about coming disaster
(campaigning from state to state) when businessmen need the confidence to hire someone. He's missing the boat on the central crisis of his second term."

It's not that he is so oblivious to the job crisis that he doesn't see it. Jobs are not his priority. The economy is not a priority. The debt is not a priority. The middle east is not a priority. China is not a priority. His agenda is his priority (What is his agenda?). All this "gloom and doom" he's been preaching lately, and his constant oratory negativity toward the GOP, I think, is just case building to have the Republicans lose the House; then, there will be nothing standing in the way to block his pushing his entire far left agenda through. That's been his priority from the start, CHANGE IS COMING! A kind of change that we've never really invisioned for the US:

(Just what is his agenda?) Noonan says:

"Barack Obama really is a study in contrasts, such as aloof and omnipresent. He's never fully present and he won't leave. He speaks constantly, endlessly, but always seems to be withholding his true thoughts and plans. He was the candidate of hope and change, of "Yes, we can," but the mood of his governance has been dire, full of warnings, threats, cliffs and ceilings, full of words like suffering and punishment and sacrifice."

I'm leaning to accept this about him too. I don't think I'm paranoid, but have read and heard other left leaning democrats come right out and push for the far left agenda. And destruction of conservative opposition to their desired policies. As in the past, the pendulum will swing again and leave the left clinging to air. Americans have a built in barometer that tends to right any far radical movements. It will do so as they sense what some already believe.

It started when he was in the Illinois Senate, he voted present most of the time.

Of course with his access to mind reading, Neutral readily provides attribution of motivations to others. He "knows" that any vote of Present really intended to mean something else.

Since I readily admit that I am not capable of mind reading, The only purpose I "know" about for voting "present" is to vote "present." I leave the mind reading to others.

It's easily assumed why someone would not vote yea or nay most of the time.
