Sorry you don't share in the optimision for our country Ban.
Optimism? The nation has just finished watching a months worth of news videos of Obama spewing "gloom and doom." What's there to be optimistic about.... if I'm to believe what Obama preaches. Apparently you libs must see "optimistic brightness" in Obama's "gloom and doom" preachings.

Ban is right & wrong. The economy tends to lag politics. The effect of the sequester probably will not be apparent for weeks or months if it has any effect.

Why is it that you can't accept good news without turning negative about it, Ban? Obama's been talking about the sequester and it's potential impact on the already fragile recovery. The effects of the sequestration have yet to be felt by most of us. When they are, it could turn what appears to be a recovery into a recession. Is it so hard for you see the big picture instead of your little Faux News world?

Misrepresenting what President Obama has to say is a long term project of the U
S Right Wing.

I don't live in that Faux News world. I think I do see the big picture and don't focus on every little negative thing I can find. Maybe you should accept the good news when it happens and bitch about the bad news when that happens. A little balance is a good thing. You are on an ideological seesaw with no one on the other end.

Well, like Chris Christie said, "If somebody can tell us what they're doing in Washington, come up here, take the mike and explain it to the rest, 'cause I don't have the first damn idea what the law makers are doing down in Wasington. It takes leadership...not a whitehouse photo op an hour before sequestration."

In the Vancouver office, we hired six new employees, in Seattle eight, all full time in the design/engineering department. Four were contract employees that we took on as they had been great additions and the son didn't want to lose them. Construction is picking up and more projects making sense. I'm glad I'm retired because the hours are going to increase for the sons and daughter. I get the weekly reports and it's been far more grins than frowns. What you will see are companies hoarding the good talent as things go forward, nobody wants to lose an ace. Don't judge the entire country on the Northwest, we are still on hold in California and Utah.

I think that companies too are feeling more confident that there will not be a big grab on revenue from the tax man. healthcare is bothering some, but not in the professional and construction areas. Employee benefits are expected there and you can build it into future projects. I would hope that future tax reform takes into account a thriving blue collar awakening, and broadens the tax base.

The people who deal with business daily are the ones who know what's happening in the economy. It's those who depend entirely on their news from right wing sources, who are in the dark and have no idea what the real situation is. Perhaps Ban could stop watching Faux all the time and start watching CNBC or the alphabet networks for a little news from the other side of gloom.
