It's hard for me to understand how so many Canadians can be so concerned about the world's global warming when 25% of their GDP depends on the very thing that contributes to that global warming and nothing is done about it.
You're not paying much attention what's really going on in Canada, are you Ban?

You're just posting stuff from a couple of years ago that you think will make us uncomfortable.

Edmonton Journal

environmental regulations for the oil and gas sector are in their final stages, Environment Minister Peter Kent said Tuesday.

The long-promised rules would seek to curb the sector's greenhouse-gas emissions to help Canada meet a 2020 target for a 17 per cent cut in overall emissions from 2005 levels.

Rules have recently been put in place to regulate emissions for the transportation and coal-fired electricity industries, but estimates suggest they get Canada only halfway to that goal.

Kent said he expects the new regulations to help close the gap.

"We're in the final stages now of setting the stringency levels and I would hope that certainly by mid-year we would be in a position to share those," Kent said told a House of Commons committee Tuesday.

Not perfect, but changes are coming.

Oh yes I have. I do that instead of thinking of childish names to call grownups like you do. But if you want to back up your claim then do it with examples.

According to this article, the US navy is leading the charge toward clean energy. If true that is good, they have the clout.

As to the thread itself, the human race is likely doomed. it always was if history of other species on the planet is anything to go by. Usually its a natural occurrence that does the reset. We may be the first species on this planet to do ourselves in. Scientist believe we came close once before when Mt Toba erupted, and possibly the overdue eruption of Yellowstone could almost do us in. From a survival of the species point of view, it may not be a bad thing if a major natural disaster threw us back to the stone age before we manage to kill off the entire planet with run away industrialization.

So I was right. you haven't read their statements.

When you do, and start posting rational, fact-filled articles instead of childish Right Wing fairy tales, I'll start giving you an adult name.

Why? You would just deny the truth as you always do.

But you could always look up post #7 in the 1970's Global Cooling Compilation.
