They have a habit going Neutral, gentle reminders might help them overcome it.

Anyone else Hildy humorous that the US Right did not call Bush a "liberal" until he was replaced in office by a black man and the US Right realized how hypocritical it was to have defended most of Bush's actions while condemning President Obama for taking the same actions? It was only then that the US Right decided to call Bush a "liberal.
Please excuse the run-on sentence. I felt it was necessary.

For the record, I do not call Bush a liberal and I think it's foolish for anyone to do so. He did some liberal things for sure.

Were you guys as concerned when Bush sent Air Force planes to shoot down that plane they thought might have been headed for the White House or Capitol on 9/11? What's the difference?
Are you going to now resort to a strawman in defense of this action, or lambast it Neal. Which side are you on?
Apples and oranges. The Bush actually took those actions to legalize and use torture, to invade privacy with warrantless searches and attempting to shoot down an airliner. The Obama Administration has suggested that hypothetically drones might me used in a dire emergency. The Obama Administration has taken no action other than think a rational discussion could be engaged in with Rand Paul.
Listen Colo, we know all about Bush, that was years ago. Right now the threat is Obama, can you understand that concept? Your guy is eroding our friggin constitutional protections and thinks it's grand to whack you with a drone. And we know all about the misfire of drones in Afghanistan. Are citizens on our soil now going to be considered just collateral damage? That's is what I said. Comparing the Obama administration to the Bush Administration is foolish. The Bush Administration acted to limit freedoms and encourage torture. The Obama Administration hasn't acted to use drones against Americans on American soil.

My reply was to Buck's post that he couldn't imagine a situation where the government would kill an American on American soil. The situations I described were legitimate reasons for doing so and were not strawmen. I sincerely hope that you never have the opportunity to let Americans die to protect your right wing dogma. I would also hope, as Colo did, that if you or any of your right wing buddies decided to try to overthrow my government that it would be unmerciful in it's response.

Because that is how the Republicans did it in the past? Of course you aren't counting the Johnson administration, right? He was a Democrat. I mean, look at all he did for our poor. That more than offsets what his leadership did for the Vietnamese.

Law enforcement officers, and citizens, can and do legally kill Americans without due process.. What's the difference between a sniper rifle and a drone? There is no "due process" rights when you pose an immediate danger to the public.
Buck,
When you were on patrol if a dirt bag started shooting would you have told him to wait there until you got a court order to shoot back?
