My question is simple. has mankind learned a thing since the holocaust in Nazi Germany? It doesn't appear so, we have them going on as I type and nothing substantial being done to stop them. Africa is a nightmare. Cambodia happened before the world's eyes. I have friends who lost family in Russia, Poland and Germany.
But, Pat, according to Ban and Colo, you can't bring up those atrocities in this thread. You have to apparently only say what they think you should say.

Why do you keep saying "Neutral classifies as libs"? LOL Is that some sort of bait?
No, it is just descriptive. Did you think it was bad for me to support your view?

Mountain Rivers,

You may have lost respect for me, but that's how your posts read to me, as an attempt to reduce the significance of the Holocaust. n If you want me to lie and say they didn't not strike me that way, I will not do so. If I did you would have reason to lose respect for me.

If your posts were not hate fueled, I apologize. But, I still feel those poos ts and others like them do fuel hatred.
I think that's because you, like Ban and many others, have been indoctrinated nearly all of your life to accept that the extermination of Jews was somehow worse than the extermination of other groups of people. It shows, to me, that you have been taken in by the very people you support. I have never said anything negative about Jews in general. My criticism has been toward the Zionist movement and the actions of the Israeli government. In several of these discussions I have expressed admiration for Jews as intelligent, competent, citizens of this country and my belief that we would be considerable worse off without them. So, if my posts offend you, don't read them.
Yet another point which intends to reduce the significance of the Holocaust? If not why accuse anyone of being "brainwashed" to think it is extremely important.

We are fans of ballet, so keep abreast of the happenings. A young girl recently placed in the top three at the American youth ballet event held annually in New York. the competition is held internationally, so these are the best talents in the world competing. She dreams of being a star and has the tools to do so. She is also black, from Sri Leon, an African nation that has undergone genocide that make you sick to even read about. Both her and her sisters parents were murdered. She watched helplessly as her school teacher was held down and had both arms and legs chopped off. You never heard about this did you? it never made the news, yet we hear all the time the plight of India rape victims or girls in Afghanistan. Why is that? I think it is racism to the core.

Oh, the girl was adopted along with her sister by a could in Philly. Basically, their lives were saved by the adoption. I cannot think of a continent that has been treated less harshly by the international community. Africans for the most part, don't have a rich lobby and owners of media conglomerates pimping their story. It is stories like i just posted that need read and acted on. Just my opinion.

I have said nothing that reduces the significance of the holocaust. What I have said, and I think you know it, is that there are many other holocausts that we should be equally appalled by. Accepting that you have misinterpreted something is hard to do, so I wouldn't expect you to do that. You rarely do. As for brain-washing, it's because you put more significance on the Jewish holocaust than you do on others. Why is that?

Opps, forgot to tell the good news. The girl won a full ride scholarship at Julliard for her performances.

That is a blatant lie, Mr. I am offended that you would say such a thing about me. I am losing respect for you now.

But, then I guess it is easier for you to make things up rather than make any attempt to understand a different viewpoint.

What effort have you made to understand my very different viewpoint? You have accused me of hate, belittling the holocaust and offered nothing but your indoctrinated opinion to discredit mine. The solution for you is to look for reasons to doubt your support of Zionism and Israeli government policies. You would be surprised. And, except for the holocaust, which we have all said we agree was a terrible thing, you have offered nothing to convince us that we have any reason to support the Zionist state of Israel.

Yep, you continue to make stuff up. Why? I apologized if you intent was not fueled by hate and added that such posts certainly fuel hatred. Can you really not understand how such posts as many of your are read as attempts to reduce the significance of the Holocaust, the government organized effort to round up all Jews, put them in cattle cars and send them off to camps where there was competition for the most efficient and least expensive way to kill and dispose of them even while keeping meticulous records of such actions?

So, posting anything counter to your opinion fosters hate. Is that right? It's your interpretation of what we say that is fueling the hate. You can't see beyond your own clouded opinion to try to understand that we aren't trying to reduce the significance of the holocaust, but pointing out that there have been worse instances of genocide which, in this thread , you and Ban have decided are out of bounds. Really, now, explain why you think killing 6 million Jews is worse than killing 13 million Russians or even a few thousand Africans of Bosnians or Iraqis or any other ethnic group.
