Whether or not the President (or his staff, actually) wrote the Sequester is quite irrelevant.

it would not have happened if the party of "No" had not opposed every single rational suggestion. And they then voted for the bill, with Boehner claiming he got "98% of what I wanted".

Now that it's come to pass, every Republican who can find a microphone is claiming they opposed it from the start, and it's all Obama's fault. Hypocrites.

The Tea Party Theme Song:

How is it irrational when you are discussing cutting back on bloated government? You see Brew you are only viewing this from a liberal spending belief system. We don't need government in every damn nook and cranny of our lives. for Christ sake, were feeding families at schools now! It's insane how far socialist values have engulfed thinking here.

And it was Obama's plan, get real.

Do you have some credible evidence to support the claim by the Weekly Standard? Do you also have some credible evidence that the bill was not supported by Republicans in the House and possibly in the Senate? n I will wait for that credible evidence.

So opposing every possible tax increase when it's obvious that cuts alone won't do it without killing an already fragile economy is rational?

One side needs a reality check, and I'm pretty sure it's the side who couldn't put together any sort of plan, in spite of the fact it was their job to do so.

Right Wing excuses and Obama bashing - anything to avoid the truth. Now they want Obama to pick the cuts, so they can blame him for THOSE.

This is absurd too, we are giving $250 million to Egypt. Someone explain that to me in regards to this sequester.

The side you speak of is still waiting for the entitlement reform proposal promised by Obama. We don't need higher taxes, we need entitlement reform. Every American understands this fact.
