Yup. There's also been a number of La Ninas without the usual El Ninos in between. And the Sun went through a Minimum cycle for a while. But as the article says, even with all those cooling effects, it was still the warmest decade on record. And we have had more extreme weather events than ever before. The scary part is, sooner or later the volcanoes will settle down again, and the El Ninos will return. Then we'll have some REALLY exciting times! Edited by Brewster, Mar 3 2013, 01:07 AM.

volcanoes do that effect because they pump large amounts of particulate matter into the atmosphere. |
